Son Heung-min: “First of all, I am very disappointed with the 1-0 result. For me personally, it was very important to get the first win, it was a very difficult game against a very good opponent, very well prepared for this game, both teams contributed a good game. But throughout the game we were ahead in many areas, we created a lot of chances and it would have been easier if we had converted those chances into goals. That is why I am disappointed with this game and I hope that this game will be an opportunity for the team to become better in the future. As Coach Klinsmann said, we are still moving forward, there are a lot of important games coming up, hopefully we can continue to form, continue the good momentum and play more in the next games, we can do better.”

“I don’t know how I’m doing, I’m still trying to get better. As I said before, I have a lot of great players around me, both in Korea and at Tottenham, which makes it less stressful for me to be captain. To be honest, the experience of captaining South Korea has helped me to captain Tottenham and although I haven’t done a good job myself, I will try to give my team-mates some good personal advice to help the team develop further.”
