Nambatak dislocated the pinky finger on his right hand in Game 5 against semifinal opponent Rain or Shine, but he insisted he was ready ahead of TNT’s opening game against Ginebra on Sunday.
“No problem, I can play the first game. I don’t think it will interfere with me, “said the defender, who has been with TNT for seven years and was acquired in a pre-season trade from Blackwater.
“It’s no big deal, it’s all small stuff. It’s more important to be able to play at 100 percent in this Finals, “he added.
It took seven years for Nambatak to finally stand on this stage. He reached the semifinals three times in his first six seasons and missed the playoffs last season during a brief stint with Blackwater.
