(SabaSports) Parma performed well in their first game back in Serie A as they drew 1-1 at home to Fiorentina. After the game, Parma coach Pecchia gave a positive assessment of his team’s performance in a press conference. He said: “It was a very positive debut. The team showed resilience and quality. We have been trying to create chances and score goals.”
Pezia pointed out that despite the unfortunate result, the team created seven or eight chances to score against a strong team, but we were hardly threatened. He added: “The fans are happy and I am happy. On a positive note, the team is still experimenting with the tactical concepts of last season and has struggled at times even against strong opponents. We always have the intention to attack.”
He was pleased with the number of chances his team created in Serie A but was annoyed by the failure to convert them into goals. Peziah also mentioned that even on the back foot, the team did not take too many risks and could have better organized the counterattack.
