“You know, I’ve never had that conversation with lebron or Brownie, but in business, I call my dad Dr. Bass,” she said of James’ decision to let Brownie call him dad at work. I want to keep clear boundaries because it helps us solve problems — we don’t take work home for dinner. So I think lebron and Brownie are very prepared for that. I’m happy for them to have this opportunity. But Brownie is a very good player. I’m looking forward to seeing what our new coach, JJ Redick, has to offer. It’s going to be an interesting season. I mean, lebron, did you see what he did in the Olympics? He’s probably the greatest player of all time.”
“He’s always consistent, he’s always working hard,” she said of her expectations for James in his 22nd season. He is not only a worldwide brand, but also our team leader. He is the captain of our team and sets the tone and rhythm of the team through hard work. If you look at a guy who has had a career as long as he has, then no one is going to complain about the need to train, if he wants to. And he did. He surprised me. I don’t know what else to say.”
