[Saba Sports News] Maintaining continuity, Team India has gone with an unchanged playing XI for the third and final T20I of the series against South Africa, scheduled in Johannesburg.
Ruturaj Gaikwad was unavailable for the last game, and has not received an opportunity on Thursday as well. The numero uno T20I bowler Ravi Bishnoi has also been made to wait as he continues to warm the bench.
South Africa won the toss and again put in India to bat, aiming to successfully chase down the total like they in the previous match. The hosts have made a few changes. Marco Jansen and Gerald Coetzee were unavailable, while Tristan Stubbs has been excluded from the XI. In their place, Keshav Maharaj, Nandre Burger and Donovan Ferreira have been given a chance.
It is a must-win clash for India as they are already 0-1 down in the series. The Proteas won the second T20I, while the first match ended in a complete washout.
Moreover, this will be final T20I for India away from home before the 2024 World Cup.
