“In 2018-19, Harden played 1,280 singles (1.10 points per possession) with the Rockets, 927 more than the No. 2 player. He remains the most efficient solo scorer in NBA history. It’s truly astounding, the highest-scoring single season in NBA history.”
During the 2018-19 season, Harden led the league in solo attempts with 1,280, followed by Russell Westbrook’s 353. Harden totaled 1,415 singles points that season, while DeMar DeRozan finished second with 316.
In addition, Harden averaged 36.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 2 steals in 78 regular season games for the Rockets during the 2018-19 season, shooting 44.2 percent from the field, 36.8 percent from three-point range and 87.9 percent from free throw range to win the scoring title.
