Fox is expected to be a free agent in 2026, eligible to sign a three-year deal before the regular season begins. By waiting until next summer, Fox could sign a four-year, $229 million Max contract extension with the Kings. If he makes the All-NBA team, he will be eligible to sign a five-year, super-max contract worth up to $345 million.
Fox has made it clear, publicly and privately, that he wants to be a big part of Sacramento’s future. Kings owner Vivek Ranadive and team executives worked closely with key players like Fox to make major offseason decisions, including the acquisition of All-Star DeMar DeRozan.
