“When I first saw the schedule, I said that if we could finish with a 3-1 record at the end of August, I would be very happy because we started against strong teams Meralco and Magnolia, who we know are good,” Reyes said.
“And we didn’t have a good record against NorthPort and Converge last season, so I know those games are going to be tough for us. If we can finish with a 3-1 record, that would be a great start. Now that we have reached this goal, the next step is to focus on the September games, “added Reyes.
Tropang Giga managed to complete the target with an 88-82 win over Magnolia last week. Reyes and his team now set their sights on September games, starting with Thursday’s game against Terrafirma.
A second consecutive win would cement TNT’s position at the top of Group A and further bolster their chances of progressing to the quarter-finals after the 10-game intra-group knockout stage.
