[Saba Sports News] Recently, former English
football legend Roy Keane made critical comments about Manchester United and
their manager Erik ten Hag during a media interview regarding their previous
match against Everton. Keane stated that ten Hag was content with their current
sixth-place ranking and that if Manchester United had been in sixth place a few
years ago, he would have been ashamed. In response to Keane’s remarks,
Manchester United’s star player Bruno Fernandes addressed the topic in a
pre-match interview ahead of their Champions League game against Galatasaray.
He stated, “It is normal to face criticism at Manchester United. If you
perform well, there will be flowers and applause everywhere, but when your
performance doesn’t meet people’s expectations, there will always be noise. I
believe that manager ten Hag has been doing well, contrary to what others
say.” In fact, this is not the first time Keane has publicly criticized
Manchester United. In October, Keane stated that if he were the manager, he
would make immediate changes, such as stripping Fernandes of the captaincy and
looking for new options as well as altering the management structure.
