[Saba Sports
News] According to South Korean media reports, Ui-jo Hwang, a South Korean
star, is under investigation for allegedly illegally filming and distributing
indecent videos. The police have initiated a legal review to determine if his
actions constitute a crime. An official from the Seoul Police Agency stated
during a press conference that they will conduct a thorough investigation and
consider further action based on the statements made by Hwang’s law firm
regarding the potential identification of the victim. If there is evidence of
secondary harm to the victim, whether caused by Hwang himself or his lawyer, a
comprehensive investigation will be conducted. South Korea’s “Sexual
Violence Punishment Act” prohibits the disclosure of personal information
or photos that can identify a victim or invade their privacy. Violators can
face a prison sentence of up to three years or a fine of up to 30 million won.
It is unclear how fans of Hwang are reacting to this incident.
