Sports News] Recently, Roma released an official statement confirming that they
have accepted the fine imposed by Serie A authorities for Jose Mourinho’s
pre-match comments. Roma have decided to donate the entirety of the fine to the
Leukemia Association. Prior to Roma’s match against Sassuolo, Mourinho made
critical remarks about referee decisions, leading to an investigation by the
FIGC prosecutor’s office and subsequent fine. Roma’s statement expressed their
utmost respect for the investigating agency and the referee committee. Both
Roma’s director, Pinto, and head coach, Mourinho, affirmed their willingness to
cooperate during the proceedings. The club fully complied with the prosecutor’s
assessment and reached a consensus to accept the fine. The fine amount is
reported to be 20,000 euros. In a positive gesture, Roma have decided to donate
the entire sum to the Italian Leukemia Association (AIL). It is commendable to
see fines being utilized for charitable purposes.
