[Saba Sports News] In a recent interview with the media, Alexander
Albon, the Thai driver for the Williams team, recounted his childhood love for
Ferrari. Albon revealed that from a young age, he was obsessed with racing. The
first word he ever heard was “Ferrari,” and he would affectionately
refer to it as “Rari.” His fascination with Ferrari stemmed from the
distinctive exhaust pipes on their racing cars. To Albon, the four exhaust
pipes emitted what he saw as captivating “smoke.” As a child, he
would often exclaim “Smoke” or “Rari” in excitement. Among
all the Ferrari drivers, Albon’s favorite is Michael Schumacher. As a child,
Albon would get upset if he didn’t win a game. In response, his mother
collected highlights from the 2001 season, featuring all the races in which
Schumacher emerged as the champion. Whenever Albon needed a break or felt down,
he would revisit this collection and watch the races that Schumacher had won.
It was this deep love for Formula 1 that ultimately led Albon to become a
professional racing driver. If given the opportunity, Albon expressed his
desire to join the Ferrari F1 team and fulfill his childhood dream.
