Sports News] Lee Chong Wei, the Malaysian badminton legend, expressed his
willingness to return to the Malaysian Badminton Academy as a sparring partner
in a recent interview with the media. He discussed the upcoming Paris Olympics,
stating that if the Malaysian Badminton Association requires his assistance, he
is prepared to give help. While not in a coaching role, Lee Chong Wei would
contribute as a sparring partner. He agreed to the invitation from the
association due to their long-standing support and cultivation of his career.
Lee Chong Wei acknowledged that without their backing, he would not have
achieved the success he enjoys today. As a result, he is committed to assisting
the Malaysian Badminton Association in any way possible. Lee Chong Wei is
renowned as Malaysia’s top badminton player and one of the prominent figures in
the global badminton scene. He secured the runner-up position in the men’s
singles category at the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Olympic Games. On June 13, 2019,
Lee Chong Wei officially announced his retirement from professional badminton.
