16-year-old Thai badminton player Pitchamon Opatniputh recently shared updates
on her social media during the New Year countdown. Fans not only praised her,
but also hailed her as a new generation badminton goddess. In the women’s
singles event of the 2023 World Youth Badminton Championships, Pitchamon lived
up to expectations and emerged as the champion, becoming the second-ever Thai
player to achieve this feat in the tournament’s history. What’s even more
impressive is that she remained undefeated throughout the six matches,
showcasing her exceptional talent and potential. Standing at 1.72 meters tall,
Pitchamon possesses a tall and athletic physique, and she is a rising star
nurtured by the Thai badminton team. Despite not yet making a remarkable mark
in the World Series, her social media following is already comparable to that
of renowned players who have achieved world and Asian championship honors.
During the previous year’s Chinese Taipei Badminton Open, Pitchamon attracted a
significant fan following, with many eagerly watching and supporting her after
she left the court. It is believed that in the near future, Pitchamon
Opatniputh will become a prominent figure in women’s singles badminton.
