[Saba Sports News] Pakistan team director and interim head coach Mohammad Hafeez is in a battle with his own players.
Reportedly, Pakistani players are not happy with Hafeez’s style of coaching. He is said to be holding “long” team meetings, making the players “restless” because of the same.
“He holds very long meetings and gives long lectures and some of the players get restless because the same things are repeated,” a media report said as quoted.
Moreover, Hafeez is also being alleged to discriminate players in handing them the NOCs for playing in the leagues.
Hafeez came on board in a dual capacity as Pakistan’s team director and head coach following the side’s horrid performance in the ODI World Cup 2023.
In Hafeez’s regime, Pakistan are yet to win a match. They were clean swept in the Test series against Australia. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Co. are trailing 0-2 in the ongoing five-match T20I series versus New Zealand.
