All four players are vying for honors as player of the year and foreign Aid of the year, and the winners of both awards will be revealed Sunday in Game 4 of the PBA Governors Cup finals.
Fajardo and Hollis-Jefferson lead their respective categories in statistical points by a wide margin, but Aguilar and Brownlee are also in the running for that honor after their teams managed to advance to the finals of the season’s opening conference.
A 10-time Player of the Year (BPC) winner, including the most recent Philippine Cup, Fajardo was consistently ahead statistically, reaching a total statistical point of 44.8 at the end of the semi-finals despite San Miguel’s elimination by Aguilar and Barangay Ginebra.
The 6-10 Fajardo posted 21.0 points, a league-best 16.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.0 blocks in the game.
