Puado said: “Many of our colleagues in La Liga have expressed their views on continuing to play at such moments, and I think that is what we all think. It is often not up to us. If it was up to us today, we wouldn’t have played. We came together for those who suffered and this goal is dedicated to them.”
He continued: “In the first half Barcelona found a few chances, in the second half we did a little better and corrected a few mistakes. We had chances but were denied goals. Against such a team, it is difficult to win the game without playing a perfect performance. Also, it’s hard to come back from 3-0 down and we had our chances, but at the end of the day we have to keep fighting.” Puado also stressed the importance of what comes next: “We have a very important game coming up and we have to get three points. Against Valencia we have to be ourselves, compete more, get more out of the game, make sure our opponents don’t play easy and try to convert all the chances into goals. We have to be strong at home and try to pick up points. It’s a very complicated league with a lot of strong teams, but we are Spanish, it took us a long time to get back to the top and we have to give it our all to stay here next year.”
