[Saba Sports News] On November 1, Chinese badminton star Zheng Siwei announced the happy news: his daughter was born safely. Fans left messages and sent their blessings, stating that 2024 is a dream year for Zheng, with great achievements in both career and family. Zheng Siwei, born in 1997 in Wenzhou, has loved badminton since childhood. Under the careful guidance of his mentor Chen Rong, Zheng quickly showcased his exceptional talent in badminton. In 2013, Zheng was selected for the Chinese national badminton team and initially partnered with Chen Qingchen to win several championships. In 2017, he paired with Huang Yaqiong to form the “Yas Duo.” The “Yas Duo” quickly dominated the world badminton scene, rapidly rising to the top of the world rankings and becoming favorites for the Tokyo Olympic Games. Unfortunately, they narrowly lost to Wang Yilu/Huang Dongping in the finals of the Tokyo Olympics, missing out on the highest podium. Three years later in Paris, the “Yas Duo” made a comeback, fully prepared this time, and did not let past regrets repeat. After winning this gold medal, the “Yas Duo” has now achieved championships in the Olympics, World Championships, BWF Finals, Asian Games, Asian Championships, and all Super 1000 events, becoming true Grand Slam winners. With the birth of his daughter, 27-year-old Zheng Siwei has also achieved another perfect milestone in life: having both a son and a daughter—truly a winner in life!
