[Saba Sports News] The Milwaukee Bucks started strong with a road win over the 76ers but have since stumbled, prompting Giannis Antetokounmpo to express concern just three games into the season.
Following back-to-back losses to the Bulls and Nets, Antetokounmpo highlighted the team’s lack of identity.
After Sunday’s 115-102 loss in Brooklyn, he stated, “Right now, we don’t have an identity. Are we going to defend for 48 minutes? Move the ball? Attack and play fast? We’ve gotta find that. We don’t have it right now.”
Though it’s early, this lack of cohesion has been a recurring issue for the Bucks, something both Antetokounmpo and head coach Doc Rivers have stressed in the past.
While Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard have carried the team offensively, they still lack a consistent third option, and their defense has been subpar.
The Bucks may be counting on Khris Middleton’s eventual return to help solve these issues.
