[Saba Sports News] A Phoenix Suns fan attempted—and failed—to sneak into the Los Angeles Clippers’ exclusive fan wall at Intuit Dome on Wednesday.
The Clippers’ $2 billion arena features “The Wall,” a steep, 51-row section reserved strictly for Clippers fans, located behind the basket where visiting teams shoot during the second half.
To sit in The Wall, fans must complete a survey proving their Clippers loyalty and agree not to support opposing teams. During the Clippers’ 116-113 loss to the Suns, a fan named Chris tried to break this rule by sneaking in a Kevin Durant jersey.
After spotting him almost immediately, Intuit Dome staff offered Chris the option to move to another section or remove the jersey and stay in The Wall. Chris declined both options and left the arena, becoming the first fan in Intuit Dome history to be removed for violating Wall policies.
The Wall may also affect gameplay; Suns guard Devin Booker mentioned that its intense fan energy may have cost the Suns some points.
