[Saba Sports News] Warriors coach Steve Kerr defended Draymond Green’s intensity after Green picked up his first technical of the season in the Warriors’ 139-104 win over the Blazers.
Speaking on The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis, Green shared his take:
“That tech was some b*******, bro. ESPN cut it to look like Tyler Ford gave me the tech, but he didn’t. Tyler and I banter; it’s all respect.” The issue arose with Tre Maddox, who engaged Green at the free throw line. “Maddox asked, ‘What’s wrong?’ I said, ‘That’s not a foul.’ Next thing, I get a tech while just walking to my spot.”
After the game, Kerr addressed managing Green’s technicals: “You can’t ask Draymond to play with passion and then tell him to tone it down. It’s part of the package… There will be more technicals.” Green now has 182 technicals in his 14-year career.
