The rookie of the Year last season will likely be assigned to guard Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, the NBA’s 2015 first-round pick, When the Kings of Ginebra officially kick off a seven-game series against defending Governors’ Cup champion TNT on Sunday at Ynares Center in Antipolo, they have a tough matchup ahead of them.
Hollis-jefferson has been consistent in his return to Tropang Giga, averaging 28 points, 12.8 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 2.8 steals and 1.8 blocks per game for the conference.
The University of Arizona senior nearly averaged a triple-double, averaging 26.2 points, 12.0 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 3.8 steals and 2.2 blocks to help TNT eliminate the Elasto Painters, 4-1, in the semifinals against Rain or Shine.
Now, it will be up to Holt to contain the TNT recruit, who has a tough job defending against his aggressive play.
