[Saba Sports News] Joe Devance’s time on the floor in Barangay Ginebra may be limited to 10 to 15 minutes at most, but those hours will undoubtedly be crucial in the upcoming PBA Governor’s Cup finals.

Given the knee injury (bone contusions) the 42-year-old power forward sustained in the semifinals against San Miguel, Coach Tim Cone remained optimistic that Devans could return late in the championship series against TNT Tropang Giga.
With just a week to go before the first match of the final, scheduled for Sunday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo, Cohen doesn’t think it’s likely that DeVance will return for the first time in the final.
“He has another week to recover and he is still on crutches and wearing a knee brace. So will he be able to take that off in a week? Unlikely, “Cohen said.
“But at some point in the series, he could come back.”
