[Saba Sports News] The FIA recently announced the
race times for some F1 Grand Prix events in the upcoming 2024 season. The
Bahrain Grand Prix, which marks the start of the new F1 season, is scheduled to
begin at 18:00 local time on March 2. Following the announcement of the race
time, the Ferrari F1 team has outlined its objectives for the new season,
aiming to secure at least 5 championships. In the 2023 season, Ferrari only
managed to win one championship. Recognizing that their SF23 car was not on par
with Red Bull’s RB19 car, Ferrari has undertaken a redesign of the SF24 car in
pursuit of regaining dominance in the competition. The new car boasts a 95%
difference from its predecessor, involving adjustments to the suspension,
weight distribution position, and engine management. Some fans have expressed
concerns, suggesting that even with the new car, Ferrari may struggle to meet
their high hopes due to shortcomings in tactical strategy and on-the-spot
adaptability. These areas are considered to be significantly behind the
capabilities of the Red Bull Racing team. In the editor’s opinion, for Ferrari
to compete with Red Bull in the 2024 season, it is crucial to prioritize
error-free performances. Otherwise, any goals and plans will merely be empty
rhetoric and may even subject them to ridicule from their competitors. The
incident during last season’s Spanish Grand Prix serves as an example, where
Charles Leclerc’s car encountered a breakdown, but the Ferrari team was unable
to identify any obvious physical failure or technical issue.
