[Saba Sports News] Recently, a TikTok video criticizing former Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee’s positioning has surfaced. In the video, a fan wearing a Manchester United jersey imitates Zirkzee, claiming to be a “number 9 and a half” player who drops back to organize attacks, while teammates ask him to appear in the center forward position. However, during an attack involving three players, Zirkzee appears on the right flank. The teammate then quips: “Why are you on the right? You’re not Alejandro Garnacho!” The fan imitating Zirkzee responds: “Building the attack.” Interestingly, Zirkzee himself liked this video—could it be self-deprecating humor? The 23-year-old Zirkzee transferred to Manchester United from Bologna this summer for €42.5 million. Since scoring a decisive goal in his debut, he has not recorded any goals or assists in the following ten matches. It remains to be seen how Manchester United fans view Zirkzee’s performance since joining.
