[Saba Sports News] The Golden State Warriors have secured one of their key rotation players, Moses Moody, with a three-year, $39 million rookie extension, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Drafted 14th overall in 2021, Moody saw limited playing time in his first two seasons but became a crucial contributor during the 2023-24 season.
In 66 games last year, Moody averaged 8.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, and shot 46.2% from the field, including 36.0% from three-point range.
The 6’6″ wing provided a valuable three-and-D presence alongside Steph Curry.
Despite reported frustrations with his role under coach Steve Kerr, Moody is expected to take on a larger role next season with Klay Thompson no longer on the team.
