[Saba Sports News] Adrian Newey, a racing designer who served Red Bull Racing for 18 years, decided to leave in May this year. At that time, it was believed that his resignation was due to internal power struggles within the team, but that was not the case. Last week, 65-year-old Newey discussed this topic during a motorsport program. He did not mention the internal atmosphere at Red Bull but emphasized that he gradually felt bored doing the same things repeatedly at Red Bull Racing. Recently, Newey’s daily routine involved sitting in the office, analyzing data, receiving his salary, and then going home at night. He felt like he was working mechanically, akin to autopilot. Continuing this way would go against his true feelings. Newey explained that this feeling primarily stemmed from him and urged fans not to blame others; it was his personal decision. After resigning, Newey spent months evaluating his future options and ultimately chose to join Aston Martin Racing in search of new challenges and to do something different.
