[Saba Sports News] The 2024-25 season is starting to feel like déjà vu for the Memphis Grizzlies.
Head coach Taylor Jenkins revealed that Jaren Jackson Jr. experienced hamstring tightness during the first practice of training camp, according to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon. Jackson is set to undergo imaging, with concerns he may have suffered a strain.
The 25-year-old, a 2023 All-Star and Defensive Player of the Year, led the NBA in blocks but missed 16 games last season due to various injuries.
If the strain is confirmed, it’s troubling news for the Grizzlies, who are just weeks away from their season opener on Oct. 23.
