[Saba Sports News] With the conclusion of the F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Red Bull lost their top position in the standings due to Sergio Perez’s withdrawal and Max Verstappen not securing a win. They are now 20 points behind McLaren, raising concerns that Red Bull’s dominance is no longer present. Although there is still one-third of the season left, many believe it will be difficult for Red Bull to surpass their rivals given their current momentum. After the race, Red Bull team principal Christian Horner expressed confidence in regaining their position in the standings during a media interview. He stated, “There are still seven races left to compete and two sprint races where extra points can be earned. So there are still many points up for grabs; the season is far from over.” At the beginning of this season, Red Bull was dominating on track and leading both standings by a significant margin, at one point having over a hundred points advantage over McLaren, at which time few questioned Red Bull’s chances of defending their title.
