SAN Miguel clinched a playoff spot outright with a blowout 131-82 win over Barangay Ginebra in a match at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday. Lasittel was on fire in the game’s opening period, hitting four three-pointers in the first quarter to overtake Jimmy Alapag’s record of three-pointers and finish top with 1,252, breaking Alapag’s record of 1,250.
The American and Filipino player hit six 3-pointers and was one of six players on the team to score in double figures. SAN Miguel had the biggest win in team history with a hot hand.
Balanga Genebla, meanwhile, suffered its worst defeat under coach Tim Cone.
