[Saba Sports News] According to Italian media reports, the Milan clubs have clearly rejected the renovation plans for San Siro Stadium proposed by the Milan city government. Reports state that the Milan clubs have formally rejected the hypothesis of renovating San Siro Stadium. The goal of the Milan city government is to return to the project of building a new stadium in the current San Siro area, which is the result of a meeting between the two clubs and Milan Mayor Giuseppe Sala at City Hall. After the meeting, Giuseppe Sala stated: “We have just concluded discussions with both clubs; representatives from club management and ownership attended the meeting. I noticed that even with Inter Milan having new ownership, there is still a strong willingness to reach an agreement between the two clubs, which is a good thing in itself.” The two clubs conducted extensive technical and economic feasibility analyses regarding the renovation of San Siro Stadium, starting with proposals from WeBuild and exploring various realistic renovation hypotheses. However, they ultimately concluded that San Siro cannot be renovated, at least not at an affordable cost, and therefore do not consider the San Siro hypothesis as feasible as believed in recent months.
