[Saba Sports News] Recently, reports about Chinese driver Zhou Guanyu have mostly focused on interviews, with relatively little analysis of his skillful characteristics, leading to discussions among Chinese fans about whether Zhou has the ability to stay in F1. Yesterday, F1 analyst Ruth Buscombe commented on Zhou’s abilities on the Drive to Wynn podcast. Buscombe stated that this year marks Zhou’s third year in F1; previously, he spent three seasons in F2 and some time at the Alpine Driver Academy, accumulating a wealth of racing experience. Zhou’s biggest advantage is his ability to catch opponents off guard at the start; his performance in the first five laps is like that of a beast—given a soft tire, he can aggressively target his rivals. According to reports, Buscombe is an F1 strategist who has worked for Ferrari, Haas, and Sauber teams and now provides professional commentary for F1 TV during race weekends. In response, some fans noted that showcasing talent in the slowest car on the grid is not easy; Sauber may only be able to make its presence felt in the starting area.
