[Saba Sports News] Red Bull Racing’s star driver Max Verstappen has repeatedly expressed his desire to participate in the Le Mans 24-hour endurance race after leaving F1. Recently, in a special interview on the YouTube channel of Red Bull’s esports drivers, Verstappen was asked who he would choose as teammates if he were to create his own driver lineup for the Le Mans 24-hour race. Verstappen’s first choice was former F1 driver Nyck de Vries. Records show that De Vries won the 2021 FE drivers’ championship and has extensive endurance racing experience. Earlier this season, he represented Toyota in the Le Mans 24-hour super-car race. Verstappen’s second choice was Fernando Alonso, stating that he has been working on ideas with Alonso and that it would be cool to participate together in the Le Mans endurance race. It is reported that Alonso has won the Le Mans endurance race twice with Toyota. Verstappen believes that if he teams up with De Vries and Alonso, they would definitely win the Le Mans 24-hour endurance race.
