[Saba Sports News] German newspaper Bild reported that with Audi entering F1, there is hope for the return of the German Grand Prix in 2026. Records show that Germany last hosted an F1 race in 2019. Currently, F1 has 24 races, but only 9 are held in Europe. In response, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali vowed to make changes. At a press conference announcing a partnership with Santander Bank, he stated that 2026 will see some interesting developments and will be the year with the most European Grand Prix events. The FIA is working hard to find suitable partners and hopes to reopen constructive dialogue regarding the German Grand Prix. Fans have expressed that Germany is deeply rooted in the automotive industry, with Audi set to join Formula 1 and Mercedes being one of F1’s main partners; hosting an F1 Grand Prix in Germany would have significant historical meaning. However, for the German Grand Prix to return to F1, much work remains to be done, as both the Nurburgring and Hockenheim circuits are facing financial difficulties. Therefore, the German organizing committee must find new investment partners.
