[Saba Sports News] Earlier this year, legendary F1 engineer Adrian Newey announced he would leave Red Bull Racing. Recently, several authoritative F1 media outlets revealed that Newey has chosen Aston Martin as his next destination. According to The Times, Newey has signed a multi-year contract to take on new challenges with Aston Martin. As part of the contract, Newey will become a shareholder of the Aston Martin team, with an announcement regarding his joining expected before the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Motorsport reported that Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur had originally approved a budget to sign Newey and had arranged for him to join Ferrari as a consultant, setting up an office for him in the UK to work remotely without needing to relocate to Italy. However, he later withdrew due to a higher offer from Lawrence Stroll, the owner of Aston Martin, reportedly worth $100 million over three years plus performance-related bonuses. Ferrari did not want to participate in what resembled an auction for Newey.
