[Saba Sports News] After Lando Norris won the Dutch Grand Prix with a significant advantage over Max Verstappen, McLaren has become the fastest team in F1 this season, capable of competing with Red Bull Racing for the Constructors’ Championship. In contrast, Sauber has had a torturous season, being the only team so far without any points. During the Dutch Grand Prix, Sauber drivers Zhou Guanyu and Valtteri Bottas were lapped by the victorious Norris, indicating that Sauber is currently the slowest team this season. Surprisingly, an F1 championship-contending team has drawn design inspiration from a struggling team. According to Formu1a, McLaren brought a design to Monza that is “very similar” to that of Sauber. Given the significant performance gap between the two teams this season, this is indeed a strange finding. Data shows that Monza is a high-speed and efficient track, and this weekend McLaren brought a low downforce wing and low-load configuration, which is in stark contrast to their setup from the previous Dutch Grand Prix.
