[Saba Sports News] According to Italian media, former AS Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini revealed that Roma legend Bruno Conti was once barred from dining at the club’s restaurant. In an interview this week, Sabatini stated: “Bruno was banned from entering the restaurant at the Trigoria training center. I don’t know who was in charge at the Trigoria base at that time; I only know it was two staff members. I don’t know if I should say this, but I’m telling the truth. I even spoke to Bruno about it, and he felt very regretful and disappointed.” However, Bruno Conti responded by saying, “No one has ever stopped me from entering the restaurant at Trigoria. My relationship with AS Roma has always been very good, and the Friedkin family has always shown me great respect, which I will strive to repay.” The 69-year-old Bruno Conti is a Roma legend who helped Roma win the 1982-83 Serie A title and Italy win the 1982 World Cup. After retiring, Bruno Conti stayed on to work for Roma and briefly served as head coach. He currently works in Roma’s youth development department.
