[Saba Sports News] The Olympics have sparked enthusiasm for sports among citizens, leading to a surge in sales of sports-related products. Recently, some badminton racket stringers revealed their incomes online, stating that earning $4,000 a month has become the norm, and even novice stringers can earn $2,000 a month, attracting attention from fans. Due to their high income, fans have dubbed these stringers as the “invisible income champions” outside the Olympics. A stringer with over ten years of experience mentioned that a novice stringer takes about 40 minutes to restring a badminton racket; however, once proficient, it only takes 20 minutes. The booming stringing business has left many badminton stringers feeling fatigued, standing all day long while aiming, stringing, and straightening… This repetitive process requires constant concentration throughout the day, leading to sore thighs and even dizziness. It is no exaggeration to say that after working 12 hours a day, they can only sit down to rest during lunch. On various online platforms, stringers have become popular search terms. Some businesses have seized the opportunity to launch “stringer training” courses, with a 10-day course costing as much as $420. In response, some fans remarked that badminton racket stringers earn hard money through physical labor, and the so-called high salary is merely a result of time investment.
