[Saba Sports News] Victor Wembanyama is known for making everyone around him look short, but the height difference between the French superstar and a particular opponent at the Summer Olympics was truly mesmerizing.
During France’s pool play game against Japan on Tuesday in Paris, the 7-foot-4 Wembanyama, the tallest men’s basketball player in the Olympics, faced off against Japan’s Yuki Togashi, who is 5-foot-6 and the shortest. The height difference was striking when the two shared the court.
Wembanyama, selected first overall by the San Antonio Spurs last year, had a successful rookie NBA season, averaging a double-double with 21.4 points and 10.6 rebounds per game. The 20-year-old also led the NBA with 3.6 blocks per game and was named NBA Rookie of the Year.
