[Saba Sports News] Anthony Edwards, known for his confidence on the basketball court, extends that mentality to other sports as well.
In a funny video shared by Team USA on Saturday, Stephen Curry teased Edwards about his ping pong skills. During an interview with Edwards, Curry pointed out members of the USA Table Tennis team nearby, claiming they said they could beat Edwards 21-0.
Edwards wasn’t having it.
“I got some people saying they’re gonna beat me in ping pong, 21 to 0,” Edwards said. “I don’t believe it. I’m not having it. 11 to 0? I’m scoring one point.”
The table tennis team members then challenged Edwards, suggesting there’s “only one way to find out.” Edwards agreed to play a match “whenever,” though it might have to wait until after Team USA basketball’s first game at the Paris Olympics on Sunday against Serbia.
Edwards’ confidence shines through, not just in his basketball role on Team USA, but also in his belief he can score against Olympic table tennis players.
