[Saba Sports News] According to recent reports from international media, the F1 Red Bull Racing Team has filed a significant complaint to the FIA. They have raised suspicions regarding McLaren’s brake discs, suggesting that they may be in violation of regulations due to an excessive number of openings. Red Bull Racing perceives this as an additional cooling solution that clearly provides an unfair advantage to McLaren over other teams. As per the F1 technical rules, regardless of the brake disc supplier chosen by a team, the number of openings on the disc is subject to scrutiny and can only be reduced but not increased. Consequently, regulatory authorities will conduct more rigorous inspections on all cars during the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix to determine if McLaren has indeed breached regulations in this area. If any violations are confirmed, the FIA will impose penalties based on the specific infractions and their severity. These penalties may range from grid position penalties to suspension of a driver’s qualifications for the following race. However, it is important to note that as other teams are narrowing the gap with Red Bull, Red Bull has started expressing more concerns regarding potential issues in the car designs of other teams. This reflects the fiercely competitive environment and ever-changing landscape of F1 racing.
