(sabasports report)Argentina international Enzo Fernandez, who joined Chelsea for the most expensive transfer in Premier League history – 121m – is facing what could be the biggest crisis of his career.
Argentina beat Colombia to win the Copa America final. However, on the team bus after the game, Enzo opened a personal live broadcast. During the live broadcast, Enzo and a number of Argentine players sang racist songs directed at the French team.
In response, Enzo issued an apology in the early hours of July 17, saying: “I would like to sincerely apologise for a video posted on my Instagram channel during the celebrations of the national team. The song contains extremely offensive language and there is absolutely no excuse for these words. I reject all forms of discrimination and apologise for our basking in the euphoria of the America’s Cup celebrations. That video, that moment, those words, do not reflect what I believe or who I am. I’m really sorry.”
