[Saba Sports News] Recently, the “Run Boys” 2024 VICTOR “Victory Boys” Champion Badminton Summer Camp opened in Changsha, China. The camp attracted 40 badminton students from various cities and states, including Changsha, Hengyang, and Yiyang. The students, aged between 8 and 14, have achieved impressive results in youth competitions across the province. Sponsored by badminton brand VICTOR, the 20-day summer camp is headed by Sydney Olympic badminton champion Gong Zhichao. During the camp, Gong Zhichao will provide on-site guidance, teaching techniques such as lofted shots, drop shots, lobs, smashes, net shots, and various tactics. The camp will also include intensive technical training, such as full-court pace training, multi-ball training, and physical conditioning. Gong Zhichao began receiving systematic badminton training at the age of 8. She is known for her hanging style and once held the number one position in women’s singles worldwide. After retiring, Gong Zhichao participated in the filming of the movie “Diary of a Badminton Champion,” the world’s first feature film reflecting the life of a badminton player.
