However, despite this setback, the Italian Football Association recently announced some exciting news regarding Gianluigi Buffon. Gabriele Gravina, President of the Italian Football Association, also commented on this development during a media interview, stating, “Buffon is an extraordinary asset for the Italian Football Association and the national team. He approaches his new role with great dedication and professionalism. I am grateful for his strong desire to continue contributing to the national team, which is good news for the entire Italian football community.” Buffon has an impressive track record in the national team, with 176 appearances, the most by any player. He has participated in five consecutive World Cups, winning the 2006 edition as the starting goalkeeper and being awarded the World Cup Golden Glove Award.
