[Saba Sports] Tan Boon Heong, a former Malaysian badminton star, recently shared his life principles in a lengthy article on social platforms. This resonated with many fans and netizens. He wrote, “At that time, I was very naive and believed that others would help me. As a result, I wasted time, and the person who asked me to go got what they wanted while I was left empty-handed. That’s life. Life is about taking the right path without detours.” Many fans expressed their belief that Tan Boon Heong must have been taken advantage of by others, wasting his time and not achieving what he desired. They hope he can remain rational in the future. Tan Boon Heong retired in March 2015. Before retiring, he achieved remarkable results as part of the “Diamond Pair”, including winning the gold medal at the 2006 Doha Asian Games and the 2007 All England Badminton Open men’s doubles championship. After retirement, he transitioned into a TV sports anchor and has now become an internet celebrity, selling goods and conducting business through live stream.
