[Saba Sports News] According to the latest reports from French media, the current coach of the French national team, Didier Deschamps, will take part in the Olympic torch relay. It has been reported that the Olympic flame has been making its way across France, and on July 23, French men’s football coach Deschamps will join the relay. The Olympic torch relay holds great significance as it symbolizes the continuation of the Olympic spirit, inspiring sports enthusiasm and patriotism among people. Additionally, it serves as a means of promotion and display for the host city and country. The upcoming Paris Olympics has introduced several innovations, one of which is the outdoor opening ceremony along the Seine River. Over 500,000 spectators are expected to witness the ceremony, as 10,500 athletes travel 6 kilometers by boat along the Seine before reaching the Trocadero Square for the final rituals. Deschamps has been coaching the French team since July 2012 and has achieved remarkable results during his tenure, including winning the 2018 World Cup, the 2021 UEFA Nations League, and finishing as the runner-up in both the 2016 European Championship and the 2022 World Cup.
