[Saba Sports News] According to French media reports, the mask that Kylian Mbappe is required to wear during the upcoming European Championship has been approved by UEFA. Reports state that after UEFA rejected the blue, white, and red mask initially requested for Mbappe’s nose protection, they have now given approval for the black mask that the French captain has been wearing during training sessions over the past few days. In the training session before the match against the Netherlands, Mbappe wore a protective mask for the first time since suffering a broken nose. Notably, the mask featured the colors of the French flag – blue, white, and red. However, Mbappe is aware that he cannot wear the mask during matches as per Article 42 of UEFA regulations, which stipulates that medical equipment worn on the field must be of a single color and must not identify the team or manufacturer. The day after, during France’s training match, Mbappe wore a mask engraved with his name in white font. This mask was approved by UEFA during a technical meeting held on the morning of the match against the Netherlands.
