[Saba Sports News] In a recent interview, Misbun Sidek, the legendary Malaysian badminton player, expressed his desire to continue sharing his badminton knowledge in Malaysia, as the country holds a special place in his heart. While currently not accepting any coaching invitations abroad, Misbun has not ruled out the possibility for the future. Presently, he focuses on providing private tutoring and consultation services, dedicating himself to nurturing badminton talents. Individuals interested in consultation and training can seek his guidance, but they must do so in Malaysia. Last year, the Badminton Association of Malaysia terminated Misbun’s contract prematurely. At the time, Misbun served as the director of youth singles development at the Badminton Academy of Malaysia and expressed disappointment and regret regarding the contract’s termination without mutual consent. Notably, Misbun has been the men’s singles head coach for the Malaysian national badminton team since 2003 and is known as the mentor of Malaysian star Lee Chong Wei. Following Lee Chong Wei’s loss to Lin Dan in the World Series, he sought Misbun’s technical guidance.
