[Saba Sports News] The Stake F1 team has
officially introduced their 2024 F1 car, named the C44. This new car will be
driven by Chinese driver Zhou Guanyu and Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas as they
compete in the upcoming F1 season. On Friday, the team plans to conduct the
maiden voyage of the C44 in Barcelona. The car features a fresh green and black
paint scheme, giving it a distinct appearance. One notable design change is the
switch from a push rod to a pull rod structure for the front suspension, a
modification primarily made for aerodynamic purposes. However, it’s important
to note that the launch version of the car is not the final race configuration,
as the Stake F1 team has indicated that they have finalized significant upgrade
plans that will be implemented for the first race of the season. Previously
known as the Alfa Romeo F1 team, the Stake F1 team underwent a rebranding. The
C44 marks the first car led by the team’s technical director, James Kay, who
joined the team in September of the previous year. According to Kay, the C44 is
an entirely new racing car, featuring advancements in both mechanical structure
and aerodynamics. In addition to the noticeable change in the front suspension,
there are several technical improvements, including a redesigned floor panel
concept. Compared to the previous season’s C43 racing car, the C44 demonstrates
a more extreme approach in various design aspects.
