[Saba Sports News] Byran Bozzi, who has been part of the Ferrari F1 team for 10 years, has recently taken on the role of race engineer for Charles Leclerc since the Imola Grand Prix. In a recent interview, Bozzi discussed the differences between his previous and current positions. He mentioned that performance engineers focused on optimizing various car control systems, such as front and rear brake ratios and differential settings. Their main task was to analyze the vehicle’s balance and ensure that the actual performance matched the simulation data. On the other hand, race engineers now have a broader responsibility of managing the car during events, including formulating stage plans and adjusting the car’s condition. They also need to maintain constant communication with the drivers through radio to provide timely information. Bozzi, having held multiple positions at the Ferrari F1 team, has acquired significant work experience. However, the team’s decision to replace engineers without providing an explanation has sparked speculation and rumors of discord within the Ferrari team.
